ISPA Suceava 2005/RO/16/P/PE/004 is the first project implemented in the environmental field in the county of Suceava.

The financing programme implemented by S.C. ACET S.A. and the Municipality of Suceava has a particular importance for the development of local infrastructure and also for achieving the standards of the European Union in regards to water and environment quality, contributing at the long lasting improvement of the community.

The application and the necessary reference material for this project (Master Plan, Institutional Analysis) have been prepared by the corporation BCT Technology, Unger Consult and Quantum Leap in the year 2005 at the request of the town-hall of Suceava county.

As a result of this study realized by this corporation, the project has been declared eligible by the European Commission for financing out of ISPA funds.
The financing Memorandum agreed between the European Commission and the government of Romania, concerning the grant of not repayable financial assistance from Instrument for Structural Policies for Pre-accession to the following measures: “Suceava Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Water Supply and Wastewater Systems located in Suceava County in Romania” has been signed in Brussels on the 29th of November 2005 and in Bucharest on the 10th of March 2006.
