Water network
The water supply is currently extracted from three different sources, but only the Berchisesti well field supplies with quality drinking water. Energy costs are high and the water distribution must be extended in order to reduce the water losses.

Sewerage system
The actual sewerage network includes 264 km of pipes and has a high percent of infiltrations, around 47%, especially caused by the prolonged usage of this network.

Waste Water Treatment Plant
The WWTP does not comply at present with the standards of the Directive 91/271/CCE regarding the urban wastewater treatment and their discharge to sensitive zones.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant is oversized for the future needs of Suceava, with a total size of about 18 ha and a capacity of 1390l/s and the existing equipment has a low treatment efficiency and uses a high amount of energy.

OBJECTIVES

Water Supply System:
-    rehabilitation of the Berchisesti water source;
-    rehabilitation of five reservoirs;
-    construction of a new reservoir and of a pumping station in order to supply Budujeni Sat district;
-    the extension of pipe works (service lines included) by around 22km;
-    rehabilitation of around 14 km pipes;
-    replacement of 12 km network.

Sewerage system
Extension of around 10 km new sewer lines;
Replacement of around 23 km damaged sewer lines and manholes;
Construction of two retention basins in combined sewer network.

Waste Water Treatment Plant
Rehabilitation and capacity extension of the WWTP;
The rehabilitation will be made according to the standards of the Directive 91/271/CCE regarding the urban wastewater treatment.
